In Matt. 5:29 Jesus speaks on things that 'offend' the Body, and how they should be dealt with. Allow me to set the table for this meal. Jehovah Elohim, aka God, Commanded that Adam and Eve Not become intimate with the Tree of Knowledge aka Satan. Disobedience got them expelled. Same thing again with Cain, who was rebellious and a quick exit for Him. This treatment repeats itself through the Old and New Testaments. Apostle Paul says to 'mark' them that are intent on walking contrary to the Law. The Parable of the wheat and the Tares - leave them alone. Another one was Blind leaders, leading the Blind. Again leave them alone. Jesus often spoke in Parables because it requires having on one's Spiritual Headlights to understand. An Allegory, which has more than one meaning. Cutting off body parts will hurt and is far better than death to the body. The Body here is the Body of Christ, and it hurts to stay clear of some-especially those that are close, yet are not walking straight. A Sacrifice must be made and We know how to do it.
