Jesus was in a very large crowd of people, and began to speak to His Disciples. While teaching, one in the crowd said unto Him;"Master, speak onto my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me." And Jesus said unto him,"Man, who made Me a judge or a divider over you?" This Scripture is found in Luke 12:13. Many received from Jesus Christ when they recognized Him, or gave Him the respect that He deserved. The title Master means Teacher. Jesus taught His Disciples how to conduct themselves as Apostles. He professed often that this time He was not here to judge. The inheritance [Deut. 21:15-17] spoken of here is between brothers. The eldest son received a double portion because he was required to care for their mother, in their father's stead. All of the above was insulting to Christ. Those who know the Mosaic Law must know Who gave the Law. Call Him a teacher then ask Him to help violate the Law of inheritance.Oh yeah, a 'divider'= an apportioner, to part,to share, distribute. The request was for Jesus to Redistribute the wealth;Jesus responded and immediately went back to teaching.
