What does it mean?

Rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith: Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men, that turn from the truth Titus 1:13-14. There are a couple of words that stick out in these two Verses. "Fables" and commandments of men. Fables are myths. Commandments of men is what Christ Jesus spoke of the "Traditions of Men, which make void the Word of God". That is a powerful statement. The Enemy knows this as well: want to VOID out the Word of God? Then teach the Traditions of Men. Money has gone into religious schools to teach the traditions of men. Also over the past 100 yrs. "Children Bibles" have taken over in the Churches. If one attempts a 'search' on the i-net, for Truth, it goes to the traditions of men. My wife ask me two days ago about the Three Feast Days. I had to cut through a  l o t  of muck, just to find the answer.
What does it mean? We were warned of the Apostasy [falling away from the Truth]. I read this morning that 20% in America consider themselves to be Atheist. This directly related to Titus 1:13-15, 2 Tim.4:4,  2 Tim. 3:1-9,  2 Tim. 2:15,  1 Tim. 1:3-7. These Scriptures are mile markers as on the highway, We are as well. We should always know where we are.

  1. "Sound in the faith"is easy to compare with the fables and traditions of men; it is One or the Other.Where is the power that the Followers of Christ, once had? All the miricles from the Book of Acts? It took a wile to get to where we are today, and we should look closely at the time.

  2. I monitor and comment on many blogs and pages. Once upon a time, not so long ago, if anything negative was said about a certain group, immediate charges of anti....... would follow. Now the response is conspiracy. If one speaks the Truth, even in love, they are painted as being a conspiracy theoriest.

  3. What does it mean? At the end of the age, there would be famine in the land; this is Not a lack of food, but Truth. We are the "fig tree generation".
