"A Republic, if you can keep it ".

In 1787 at the Constitutional Convention, a lady ask "well Doctor, what have we got - a Republic or a Monarchy? " Dr. Ben Franklin responded "A Republic, if you can keep it." A Republic with Three Branches, by and of the People. The first three words of the U.S.Constitution are: We the People.
*81yr. old Franklin delivered a famous speech. He reminded the delegates that during the war for Independence they had prayed regularly to God in that very Hall; Our prayers were heard, and they were graciously answered. He list victories, then ask And have we forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need His assistance?
Dr. Franklin, the scientist, the great inventor, stated that he had seen the truth - that God governs in the affairs of men. I read this and think about David and over-flowing cup. Or Jaws when the statement was made, we going to need a bigger boat. I am convinced that many that have a Socialist mindset can only handle a little. The Global Elite have been over-come with greed. A lust for money, power, or control over others, it is all the same.
The Word ask the question; why is their war/strife amongst you? "Thou shalt not covet" should be obeyed- at the same time, take heed of those that are walking contrary to this Rule. Right now, many of the greedy folks are located in D.C. or N.Y.C. but they are interconnected.
"If you can keep it." We the People should have controlled our currency. The Republic could easily slide over into the Dictatorship column, but masquerade as a Republic for generations before the nodding People caught on. I can Not get past 1 Sam.8, and the steep cost of "rejecting the Lord."
Are we there yet? Yes. Can it be reversed Yes, but only with the assistance of the Lord.

  1. *Much of the information in this article about Franklin, was taken from the book " Christinity and the Constitution " by John Eidsmoe. This is a good book to keep handy.
