Often, immature people who realize that they have made poor choices, ask that the choice be curesed. This doesn't line up with the Word, but it is attempted anyway. Mature folks should operate inside of faith; faith in Christ Jesus, is Not a religion - it is real. We can see the results of faith, not faith itself.
Abraham was actually in the process of offering His promise as a human sacrifice, until the Lord intervene; Abraham was acting on faith, and a ram was sacrificed in place of Issac. Faith and ??? do not belong together at the same place and time.
We must Not confuse a Blessing with a Curse, or a Test. No one will get in the presence of the Father without being tested. Deuteronomy 28 deals with the Blessings of obedience, and the curses of disobedience. When Mosses told the Hebrew followers to stay put, that He was going up the mountain to meet the Lord - their test began; the disobedient ones paid a dear price.
Isaiah 54:7 "I have forsaken thee for a small moment"= test. "In this life[age] we will have trails and tribulation"; this is a testing using trouble. "We can not serve God and mammon"Matt.6:24. John15:19 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you".
The Blessing: Isaiah 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from Oppression: for thou shalt not Fear: and from Terror: for it shall not come near thee - Amen.
Several months ago, the curse from Psalms 109 was floating around i-net, in reference to a specific person; that is very immature, and there is no need for such non-sense. Isaiah 54 covers us, and authorizes us to condemn those that rise up in judgement against us.
Stay Blessed, my friends.
